The Reach Group is made up of a team of non-attorney Educational Advocates. Our team is committed to educating parents on regular education, special education and mental health supports available to their child. Our goal is to arm families with the information they need to advocate for their children.

Our advocates have a minimum of a Masters Degree in Education and have held leadership and administrative roles in both private and public schools within Chester and Delaware Counties. They are passionate about special education and provide perspective outside of the traditional approach to advocacy.

Research shows that our Special Education Community within Public/Private schools does not allow for parents to participate equally when determining their child's educational supports. Parents are granted the right to being an equal team member when it comes to determining FAPE for their children. However, many parents report that they are not treated equally and feel ignored. Therefore, many parents seek out Educational Advocates to support them and their child when negotiating with the IEP team.

We recognize being a parent of a child with a disability can bring additional expenses. For that reason we offer a sliding scale which enables us to support families of all income levels. We do not want finances to keep you from the supports we can provide.

Our non-attorney Educational Advocates help you feel empowered to ask the questions you didn't know you could ask when attending an IEP meeting.

Who we support:
Families navigating the IEP process from diagnosis to implementation and support.

Parents of children with mental health or educationally-based diagnosis from early intervention services to graduation.

These support includes IEP coaching, parenting guidance, assistance with identifying community support organizations, and school choice.

Families through Transition planning, OVR/MA ensure families are completing paperwork in a timely manner (start at age 14/MS yrs).

Testimonials

"Kristin has the expertise and rich experience as a parenting coach, children’s behavior researcher, and public school special education advocate.

I met her when she worked as a special education advocate. I realized she differed from the previous advocate, who focused on advocating. Kristin went above and beyond. She is unique because of her experience in the school system and parent advocacy; she can also provide the coach with theory, high-level strategy, and daily parent/children communication tips. She is passionate about helping parents and is deliciated with her work.

I strongly recommend her for parent advocate and parenting coach."

"Working with Dana was a great experience. She was compassionate, understanding, and always available to answer any questions we had."

"I had a fantastic experience with the Reach Group. Through them I was able to make informed decisions about my sons needs and what he was entitled to at school. I feel that of left on my own to navigate the school district would have not provided the extra services that he needed. With their guidance I felt much more confident and comfortable going into IEP meetings. Now with my son in high school he's very aware of his needs and knows how to advocate for himself."

"Dana did a fantastic job helping navigate the available resources for my son’s IEP. She was a true advocate for us when we needed changes and updates for my son’s speech and PT services for the upcoming school year. I can not recommend her enough for other people who need help navigating the Special Education process."
