MY Advocacy LLC provides supportive advocacy services to families residing in Chester County, Delaware County, and Montgomery County, PA. Melissa Yelito, owner and advocate, is a former educator with experience teaching grades 1st-7th in Pennsylvania and Maryland. In 2021, after seven years in the classroom, she switched gears and dedicated herself to supporting families as they navigate the complex special education system.

As a parent herself, Melissa believes that parents are their child’s first and best advocate. She is passionate about guiding families through understanding their rights in special education as well as helping them in finding their voice at the IEP table. Melissa brings a unique perspective; having sat on both sides of the table at IEP meetings, as a teacher and now an advocate. Through your partnership, Melissa strives to educate, advocate, and empower you. As a team you will work to ensure that your child is receiving the supports and services that they need to be successful. Working alongside your family, Melissa will advocate for your child's best interest as if they were her own!

From initial evaluation, to annual IEP meetings, mediation, and everything in between, Melissa is your point person for all things special education. Melissa is currently accepting new clients. Schedule a free 30 minute consult today to find out what she can do for you including:
